Major dissatisfaction with the conduct of the property manager, Olivia Jenkins at the Platform. While the majority of the staff has been exceptional, I have observed a pattern of targeted behavior from Ms. Jenkins since my initial residency. Over the course of my 27-month stay, I have experienced veiled yet harmful actions directed at me, including an incident where she called a towing company just 12 hours ago.
Furthermore, I would like to note that my vehicle had been parked in the same spot for over three months without issue, until it was conveniently towed today. This occurred after I had moved out and relocated across the street. I find it particularly convenient that a paper trail has now been created, citing the removal of two other cars from the same spot in the past couple of days.
Additionally, it is disheartening that the corporate entity does not seem to address or acknowledge the treatment of its residents by Ms. Jenkins. Several residents in the four buildings of the Platform have recounted their negative encounters with her, with one individual being stuck in an elevator and receiving no concern or assistance from Olivia. Furthermore, reliable sources have conveyed that her behavior is consistently problematic.
The platform is a beautiful community, and I want to say again that the majority of the staff has been very lovely, pleasant and just purely phenomenal. It’s just that the head honcho doesn’t share those traits. If you can get away without dealing with her, then you would most likely like Platform.
Additionally, there have been attempts to impose unjust charges, despite prior assurances from her staff. Moreover, her failure to provide the move-out guide in a timely manner, deliberately sending it after I had returned my keys, is particularly concerning. When I visited the office today to request a meeting with Ms. Jenkins, she declined and instead delegated communication through the concierge with sticky notes. Despite my numerous emails, she has not responded to address my concerns. Consequently, I am compelled to pursue a Fair Housing complaint, as I firmly believe that Ms. Jenkins has unjustly targeted me on multiple occasions.
I’m sure she will respond to this review or have someone for corporate do it and not actually address my concerns and use that paper trail as evidence that she had the right to do so( tow car)
I have photo evidence that I was targeted, I’ve took in a photo of at least two vehicles parked in the exact same spot, and they have not been towed. I have uploaded three 3️⃣ different vehicles within the last 24 hours that were parked in the same exact spot I was. And they have yet to be towed. That is how I know she is targeting me.
But let’s actually talk about how she seems to target people of color that live at Platform. The list can go on and I’m ready to step forward.
She is the absolute reason I chose to move out of the platform. I had a beautiful apartment that I made home. But the negligence, nasty behavior & dismissive tone, whenever she is approached , as if she doesn’t want to deal with residence made me not feel comfortable, and I did not want to always feel like I am being attacked. Again the list can go on. This is just a taste. I have a lot more to express.
I have been meaning to sit down and give due props to the family here at Platform. I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made! It’s a gorgeous place, with an attentive staff, amazing amenities, an unbeatable location, and well maintained units. Little things- which are actually big things, such as neighbors, other people’s pets, parking, the mail situation, and cleanliness are all far better than any other place I’ve lived. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it feels a lot like living in a luxury hotel. I always feel safe, which is major. The management staff does a lot to promote a sense of community, with lots of monthly events that are actually fun! I picked this place specifically for the amenities, and they do not disappoint. I regularly use the co-working space, which is basically an upscale coffee shop without coffee shop traffic. The private pods are great for meetings with clients and zoom calls. The gyms are never obnoxiously busy and everything is immaculate. I’ve had several gatherings in the community spaces and my guests are always wow’d by how beautiful everything is. The kitchens are super convenient for entertaining. There are plenty of ParkMobile spaces available in the garage for guests. I don’t have pets, but the place is full of adorable dogs and it seems to be a great little family with nightly play dates out on the courtyard. You’d never know there was such an animal presence by the smell of the place. I’m not sure what kind of aroma they have pumping through the air, but I never get tired of it. It’s intoxicating! I always get quick and friendly responses from the leasing staff- shout out to Bailey, Amber, & Tamera! Also, Wendell at the concierge desk is the best. He’s always such a friendly face to see and super helpful! I’m really not sure what anyone could complain about. Yes it’s an apartment building, so apartment building noise is to be expected. People have dogs and dogs bark. There have been some elevator maintenance issues, and it can be inconvenient, but it’s clear that they’re working hard to resolve it and always keep us updated. All of these things are normal things that come with apartment living, and in my opinion none of this takes away from the wonderful experience of living here. I’m truly happy every time I come home. I may never leave!
I lived at Platform for a year, and it was a great experience. The complex is well-run, and the property is regularly maintained, too, which is hard to find. The complex cultivate a good sense of community with weekly game nights, happy hours, and other events to network with neighbors. The two pools and clubhouses are also true gems of the complex.
I have to give a special shout-out to the front office and Wendell. Earlier in my lease, I had a problematic neighbor who repeatedly caused scenes and tried to involve me in their messes. I stayed to myself, thinking it was probably best to be quiet. Still, the front office and Wendell made me comfortable enough to open up and inform them of the situation, which they handled immediately. The person ended up being removed as others had issues with the same person, so I had to give the front office and Wendell kudos for genuinely caring.
Overall, I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a good experience. The platform and its employees are fantastic. I hate that I must leave due to job changes, but I will remember this year fondly as my first home experience.
The whole team continues to impress me at Platform. Been here for a year and have nothing bad to say. The lead concierge and all of the leasing staff are extremely professional and genuinely care for the tenant which is rare. Building is also kept immaculate!
Residence is nice and new. There is a good amount of activities that they host which is nice. There are two gyms within the apartments footprint and I’ll be honest they are pretty nice gym's, probably my favorite amenity of amenity. The metro station is right down the street, a 5 min walk. Both a blessing and a curse I suppose. The metro is sisters to a main rail line that services both freight and Amtrak. It can be loud and does shake the apartment, but it’s something you get used to. Everyone on staff are pretty nice and honestly I haven’t encountered a bad resident yet. And if you love pets but don’t want one then this might be the place for you as every other resident seems to have a pet. I get all the puppy love I could want without owning one just by walking across the park area. Sit on the bench for 30min and you’ll be pleasantly greeted by at least 5 dogs of all sizes. I’ve even seen one resident that walks a rabbit. So that’s pretty cool.
I waited a couple weeks to write this review because I figured I must still be wearing rose colored glasses, but even weeks after moving in my experience with the Platform community has been 10/10. I was blown away from the initial inquiry all the way to moving in and even continuously now as a resident. I truly love living here! Huge shoutout to Tamera who did my initial walk through and guided me all the way through the application process. Platform is a beautiful community with great amenities and in a great neighborhood. I’m looking forward to my future here!!
